Saddle'em boys....Let's ride out.....

Well, howdy partner.......

Chase and his mommy.....

I just like this picture.....

Chase doing what he does best, with a pumpkin on his head.

Dad holding Chase who is dressed like a cow. It is his halloween costume. The runners up were a penguin and a pea pod in no particular order. I am happy the cow outfit does not have udders.

Grandma Deb holding pumpkin head.

Grandma and Grandpa Keller along with Chase's Aunts Amanda and Andrea came to visit last week. They helped alot around the house while dad went to work at the hospital and mom caught up on her rest.

Aunt Amanda and Chaser catching up on their Z's.

Chase and his dad being lazy together.
I haven't posted much lately. I had a busy week in the OB unit with plenty of c-sections and various procedures. And to top it off I just got through a 24 hr call. But here are a few pics from last week.

First Peds Appointment 10/13/08

Chase had his first baby doctor's appointment on Tuesday. He gained .5lbs and grew 1 inch. We are all amazed at how much he eats. So far he is wonderful, really only crying when he is hungry.

Touchdown Chase!

Mommy and Chase a couple hours before we were discharged 10/12/08.

Big Yawn.

In this image Chase is crying. However moments after Chase was given to Grandpa Steve, he stopped and started sleeping. I need to learn the magic touch. I guess it comes with time.

Chase and Dad taking a nap.
I am trying to figure out how many diapers I will have to change per year.

Changing Chase's first diaper.

I am changing Chase's diaper. Be glad you are not able to see much. Amy is laying in bed making fun of me, however I would like to point out that the PCT said I did a very good job.
I am holding Chase while the PCT prepares the bath.
Chase before his first bath. The sensor on his stomach is monitoring his temperature. He is chilling under a heat lamp.
Grandpa and Grandma Voorhees trying to determine who Chase looks like.

Grandpa Kevin with Chase. I think that if you look close Chase is smiling.

Muscles

After the neonatologist confirmed the stability of Chase's vitals, he decided to show off for the camera by flexing his muscles. Amy said he is already taking after me. I don't know what she is talking about.
Chase is only an hour old for this photo.

Chase on the Scale

Chase on the scale. In order to progress the birthing process, the OB advised vacuum extraction. That caused a little swelling on the side of his head, but it was nothing that a beenie couldn't cover up.

Amy and I right before the birth of Chase. I am really excited by the look of my face. Amy tried to smile, however she was in alot of pain. She handled the labor much better than I think I could have.

Chase's Birthday

Chase was born on Friday morning 10/10/08 at 4:41 AM. He weighed 7 Lbs 13 Ounces. He was 19 inches long. APGAR at 1 min was 8, 5 min 9. Total labor time for Amy was around 10 hrs.
